Seeking - Service Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Roofing and Siding Service Technician to join our growing team at B&B Siding and Roofing. In this role, you will evaluate roofs, siding, and windows requiring repairs, create accurate quotes, recommend optimal solutions to homeowners, and execute professional repairs. You may also support installation crews with follow-up work on backordered or damaged components.

The service technician reports to the Manager, Repairs & Service supporting members of the sales, management, project management, operations, and client services teams. The Repair Technician must be able to solve business and customer-related problems with a limited amount of supervision.

Duties/Responsibilities

Perform multiple tasks relating to exterior construction which include but aren’t limited to:

  • Maintain all OSHA and other industry standards for safety and compliance
  • Perform professional shingle replacements
  • Install roofing caps and vent installations
  • Install flashing on roof penetrations
  • Complete thorough water tests
  • Repair or replace damaged/missing siding
  • Install siding materials according to manufacturer specifications
  • Troubleshoot and address issues such as water intrusion, proper flashing, proper house-wrap
  • Work independently or as part of a team to complete projects efficiently and effectively
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Conduct general inspections and create estimates for repairs

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in siding and roofing installation and repair
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
  • General construction knowledge
  • General carpentry knowledge
  • Ability to use a siding brake
  • Strong knowledge of siding products- vinyl, shake, LP, Hardie
  • Ability to walk roofs and complete roofing repairs
  • Must have great communication skills with management and customers

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of driving, followed by periods of walking around a potential client’s property, taking measurements. Working on a computer
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
  • Ability to work at heights and on rooftops
  • Physically capable of handling all aspects of siding and roofing repairs

Additional Requirements

  • Background check will be requested of you
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Must have a reliable vehicle (vehicle provided)
  • Must have own tools necessary to perform job duties
  • Proficient in computer CRM systems
  • Must be able to speak English
